How to use Clove Bud Essential Oil on toothache.

1. Rinse your mouth with warm water to clear the area.
2. Dilute — mix 2–3 drops of clove oil with 1 teaspoon of a carrier oil (coconut or castor oil ).
3. Apply — dip a cotton swab or small cotton ball into the mixture, then gently dab it onto the affected tooth and surrounding gum.  Avoid spreading it across your tongue or other soft tissues.
4. Hold in place for 5–10 minutes so the eugenol can absorb. You'll feel a warming/numbing sensation.
5. Spit out any excess and rinse your mouth with water.
6. Reapply every 2–3 hours as needed, but don't exceed about 3 applications per day.
