Corporate Social Responsibility

We believe in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). CSR refers to business practices involving initiatives that benefit society. In our company, decisions about social responsibility are not made behind closed doors. All our employees are engaged in giving back to charity and/or volunteering. We truly believe that being engaged in certain social activities influences our innovative and collaborative capacities, as we believe that if you do good, you feel good and if you feel good, you perform better.

At The Health Place, a part of our company DNA is philanthropy. We make donations of money and goods to civic organizations, schools and less- fortune people that are in need. We often engage in community initiatives and support local businesses.

Charity and volunteering

Widows
70 per cent of Nigerian widows grieve in pain, having lost their breadwinners and have continued to face renewed economic insecurity, discrimination, stigmatisation, and harmful traditional practices with no succour from the society.

As part of our Corporate Social Responsibility CSR, The Health Place has set up a  trust fund to assist families of those constantly killed in communal clashes in Southern Kaduna and environs.

Since inception, we have fed and clothed more than 1,000 widows through our yearly CSR.

Books for children
We have partnered with KNOSK N100-a-day School, Kuje, in form of money donations to purchase books to give to disadvantaged schools in Southern Kaduna with very limited resources, so that their pupils can benefit from them.

We live and breath education, which is why we are especially excited about this partnership, as we feel that everyone deserves an education.

Sustainable development

In addition to philanthropy, we are proud to say The Health Place operates in a sustainable, ethical and open way by designing its products with little to no environmental impact, because we want to make a positive impact on the world.

• We've partnered with our customers to recycle our glass and paper tubes  in our TRASH FOR CASH PROGRAM  to reduce our impact on the environment.
