Giving back is one of the core values at The Health Place. It is part of who we are and how we believe a responsible business should operate.
We give back to our communities through charitable giving, community initiatives, education, volunteering and support for people facing difficult circumstances.
For us, success is not only measured by what we build as a company, but also by the difference we are able to make in the lives of others.
CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
Corporate Social Responsibility is an important part of how we operate at The Health Place.
Our initiatives focus primarily on community support, women and families, education and environmental responsibility.
SUPPORTING WIDOWS & FAMILIES
Supporting widows is a cause particularly close to our hearts.
Widowhood can bring significant financial and social challenges, particularly for families that have lost their primary source of income.
Since our inception, The Health Place has provided food and clothing to more than 1,500 widows through our annual CSR initiatives.
We have also established a trust fund to support families affected by communal clashes in Southern Kaduna and neighbouring communities.
Our aim goes beyond providing immediate assistance. We want our initiatives to help restore hope, dignity and opportunity to the women and families we support.
EDUCATION FOR ALL
We believe every child deserves the opportunity to receive a quality education, regardless of their family’s financial circumstances.
Through our partnership with KNOSK N100-a-Day School, Kuje, The Health Place has provided financial support for the purchase of books and educational materials.
Books purchased through the initiative have also been donated to disadvantaged schools in Southern Kaduna, helping pupils in communities where educational resources are limited.
Education has always been important to us, and supporting initiatives that expand access to learning is a natural extension of our values.
PHILANTHROPY & COMMUNITY SUPPORT
Our giving extends beyond our principal CSR programmes.
Over the years, The Health Place has donated funds, products and other resources to individuals, schools, civic organisations and communities in need.
We also believe that strengthening communities includes supporting local businesses and creating opportunities for others to grow alongside us.
SUSTAINABILITY
Our responsibility extends to the environment.
We continually look for ways to reduce waste, improve our packaging and make more environmentally responsible choices throughout our operations.
TRASH FOR CASH
Through our Trash for Cash programme, customers can return eligible glass bottles and paper tubes for recycling or reuse and receive a reward toward a future purchase.
The programme allows our customers to participate directly in reducing packaging waste while helping us move toward more sustainable operations.
