Barley Grass was one of the first cultivated crops stemming from western Asia and northeast Africa. The tender, young barley grass leaves are harvested before the plant has produced a stem or grain. The leaves are often dried and milled into barley grass powder and used for their nutritious value. The powder can be added to smoothies, juices, yogurts, and rice dishes.

Typical preparation includes level tablespoon (3-4 grams) of barley grass powder added to teas, smoothies, cereals, or other foods daily. Also as a capsule or in extract form. Our barley grass powder is milled from the dried unjointed leaf.
