These New findings help cement this body-brain connection by showing that people who achieve even modest levels of fitness have a lower risk of developing Alzheimer’s disease later on compared to total couch potatoes.
These modest exercises is not anything out of the ordinary. It includes walking, yoga, dancing, hiking, biking.
The research suggests that as people’s fitness improved, their risk of Alzheimer’s disease decreased.
It is awesome news that we may be able to work toward making incremental changes and improvements in our physical fitness and hopefully that will be associated with a related decrease in our risk of Alzheimer’s years later.”
