ESSENTIAL OILS AND NATURAL YET COULD BE DANGEROUS
So we got a stash of new essential oils a while ago but temporarily ran out of glass bottles
A very dear customer who insisted to buy only from us asked us to sell in plastic bottles; this got us 😱😱 hence the inspiration for this post
☠️ That Essential Oils (EOs) are natural doesn’t mean they cannot be dangerous or TOXIC; if you are using undiluted essential oils, then you need to be aware of these information.
☠️Our oil of oregano for instance comes with a special warning for instance- yes!!! it is that dangerous when used inappropriately.
☠️Here are some things to note while using essential oils
☠️Do not pour into plastics: undiluted EOs will literally eat through and melt the plastic
☠️Do not use EOs directly on the skin or close to mucous membrane; eyes etc
☠️Do dilute properly with any carrier oils of your choice
☠️Some EOs like Bergamot; Grapefruit;Lemon; Lime; Bitter Orange;Cumin etc SHOULD NOT be used during the day as they may cause Photosensitivity and phototoxicity
☠️This is due to the presence of furocoumarins in them which cause photosensitization of the skin
☠️If you use at night; it is recommended to avoid the sun for up to 12 hours or use sunscreen the next day after use otherwise you will BURNNNN
☠️Pregnant and nursing women should stay away from some EOs like Pennyroyal,Wintergreen,Sage,Cinnamon,Eucalyptus,Juniper,Nutmeg
☠️If you have EOs they MUST be locked up, out of sight and reach of children and pets – all the time
Stay safe especially with these oils!
Give us some ♥️♥️♥️♥️
