What form is this?

Our old stock was Magnesium Glycinate. This new stock is Magnesium BisglycinateMagnesium bisglycinate is the accurate chemical name, whereas magnesium glycinate is the common name. In terms of chemical structure and uses, magnesium glycinate and magnesium bisglycinate are identical however magnesium bisglycinate is often considered more effective for its higher absorbability and bioavailability. The absorption rates and the overall effects of magnesium bisglycinate in the body makes it a far superior supplemental form of magnesium

Benefits

Magnesium is an essential mineral for your health.

It’s responsible for 700-800 enzyme systems in your body. It supports chemical reactions in the body, helps you detoxify the fertility muggers through your liver, and is responsible for converting the food you eat into cellular energy.

Magnesium is life-enhancing, but if you don’t have it becomes life-threatening.

Most people – around 80% – are deficient in magnesium.Because our diet is so focused on grains and processed foods, the majority of the magnesium that is in the grains is lost when foods are processed. Eating refined sugar also depletes magnesium. In the Women’s Health Study at Harvard, where 17,000 women were studied, women with a high carbohydrate diet were seen to be more infertile than those that ate fewer sugars. These high sugar diets are responsible for increased insulin resistance, which is often seen in women with PCOS. This can lead to an ovulatory dysfunction. Magnesium-rich diets help preserve insulin sensitivity and ovulatory function

Magnesium Deficiency

Magnesium deficiency, also known as hypomagnesemia, is an often overlooked health problem.

Symptoms of Magnesium Deficiency

1. Hyperthyroidism -Graves Disease

2. Osteoporosis

3. Fatigue and muscle weakness

4. High blood pressure

5. Asthma

7. Irregular heartbeat

8. Migraines before Menstrual period

9. Anxiety & Depression

10. Hormone Imbalances

11. Sleep Problems

12. Muscle Twitches and Cramps

One supplement that’s used to help boost magnesium levels in those with a deficiency is magnesium Bisglycinate. It’s usually well tolerated and easily absorbed by your body.

Benefits

Glycine has a wide spectrum of defending characteristics against different injuries and diseases. Similar to many other nutritionally nonessential amino acids, glycine plays a very crucial role in controlling epigenetics.

Glycine has much important physiological function in humans and animals. Glycine is precursor for a variety of important metabolites such as glutathione, porphyrins, purines, haem, and creatine.

Glycine acts as neurotransmitter in central nervous system and it has many roles such as antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, cryoprotective, and immunomodulatory in peripheral and nervous tissues.

Oral supplementation of glycine with proper dose is very successful in decreasing several metabolic disorders in individuals with cardiovascular disease, various inflammatory diseases, cancers, diabetes, and obesity.

Magnesium and Sleep

Research shows that magnesium may help improve insomnia symptoms. In a study of elderly patients with insomnia, taking 500 mg of magnesium daily for eight weeks improved many subjective and objective measures of insomnia. The patients: Fell asleep faster and slept longer

Magnesium glycinate is easily absorbed by the body and it has calming properties which helps to reduce depression, stress, and insomnia.  Research indicates magnesium may help you fall asleep and stay asleep.

Magnesium and Anxiety

A 2010 review of natural treatments for anxiety found that magnesium could be a treatment for anxiety.

More recently, a 2017 review that looked at 18 different studies found that magnesium did reduce anxiety.

These studies looked at mild anxiety, anxiety during premenstrual syndrome, postpartum anxiety, and generalized anxiety.

Improve insulin resistance and help with PCOS

Magnesium supplementation has been demonstrated to improve the metabolic condition insulin, it also a useful supplement for many of the long-term negative health consequences associated with insulin resistance, including the female endocrine disorder polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), which is associated with insulin resistance.

The benefits of magnesium for people with PCOS was demonstrated in one study where magnesium-zinc-calcium-vitamin D co-supplementation improved the insulin metabolism of 30 PCOS patients over 12 weeks

Premenstrual  syndrome (PMS)

According to a recent literature review, magnesium is an evidence-based treatment for PMS. Some researchers propose that it may work by calming the nervous system and by “normalizing the actions of different hormones (mainly progesterone) on the central nervous system”

 To Prevent period pain

Taken daily, magnesium may prevent dysmenorrhea (menstrual cramps) in many women. It works by relaxing the smooth muscle of the uterus and by reducing the prostaglandins that cause period pain

Promotes healthy estrogen clearance

By supporting the COMT enzyme (catechol-o-methyltransferase) in the liver, magnesium promotes the healthy excretion of oestrogen which may reduce the risk of the estrogen excess conditions (such as fibroids) associated with low COMT function.

Boost Fertility

Magnesium helps balance fertility hormones progesterone and estrogen. Magnesium controls follicle-stimulating hormone, or FSH, because estrogen is dependent on magnesium status, and FSH is the hormone that stimulates the ovaries.

Low magnesium can also signal to low progesterone levels, which can lead to a short luteal phase and increased miscarriage risk.

Relieving perimenopause and menopausal symptoms

Magnesium can ease symptoms of the menopause transition For example, in one study, magnesium relieved the menopausal hot flashes of women who were undergoing treatment for breast cancer and could not take hormone replacement.
