Raw cacao, which has been minimally processed and dried at low temperatures, is known for its healthful benefits. Our cacao powder is ground from raw whole beans harvested from the tropical plant Theobroma cacao. The raw powder has a rich flavor that is more subtle than its roasted counterpart, and can be added to smoothies, homemade energy bars, herbal beverages, and extracts.

Our raw cacao powder starts as raw whole beans carefully collected from the cacao fruit. The beans are washed and then dried using a forced air dehydrator. The dried, whole beans are then husked and processed into smaller pieces. These pieces are then cold pressed, resulting in the separation of raw cacao butter and a raw cacao cake. This cake is then further milled into this fine powder.

🌰CACAO powder contains more fiber and calories than COCOA powder since more of the nutrients from the whole bean are still intact. The ORAC-(oxygen radical absorbance capacity) of CACAO powder is 95,500,drops to 62,100 for CACAO NIBS and 26,000 for COCOA POWDER
🌰Though cocoa may seem inferior to raw cacao, it’s easier to find and less expensive and is still better than store bought cocoa powders that have added milk and sugar
🌰Both cacao and cocoa are highly nutritious and good for you and are sure to satisfy your chocolate cravings around the clock. If you want more nutrients, we would suggest CACAO, but if you want fewer calories and decent source of antioxidants, then definitely go with COCOA powder
